Cyberdog Open Document Helper

This script application was created to work around a limitation in OpenDoc that prevents Cyberdog from handling the open document Apple event properly (that is to look at more than just the file type to determine what part to bind the data in the document to).

This script application provides two handlers. The first is the handler for the open document event. It creates a file URL from the path of the file specification sent in the event and sends it to Cyberdog in a GetURL event. The second handler is to forward GetURL events to Cyberdog so that this application can function as a helper in Internet Config and other applications.

You use this script application as the helper for all the URL schemes you want Cyberdog to handle. You can set this in the Internet Config application or the preferences of the particular application you are using (if it doesn't support Internet Config). You can also use it by draggin and dropping files on the application (try it by dragging and dropping this file on it).

New in Version 1.0.1

There is now an icon for text files with the Cyberdog Open Document Helper's creator ('zdog'). Now just set the creator of your HTML files to 'zdog' and you can double click on them in the finder to open them in Cyberdog. Also new in this version, are the Applescript dictionary and version resources. You may need to rebuild your desktop in order to see the changes.
